Demonstration in Support of AMPL and CUPEU

If you missed the opportunity to picket with the Association of McGill Professors of Law (AMPL) on Friday September 6 (CUFA were there! In picture: Michael Conway, Psychology, and Eric Reiter, History), you have a second chance to show your support for both AMPL and CUPEU colleagues on Wednesday, September 11.

Here are the event highlights:

CAUT, the umbrella organization for faculty unions across the country, is calling on all academic and non-academic staff to join a demonstration to oppose McGill’s anti-union policy.

The Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC), which represents non-academic staff, and the CSN, which represents non-academic staff at Concordia, are supporting this initiative and will be taking part.

Where? The meeting place is the James Administration Building on the McGill campus, 845 Sherbrooke Street West.

When ? Wednesday, September 11 at noon

What ? A  demonstration and 30 minutes of speeches. This will be followed by a march to Concordia University to show support for CUPEU in building wall-to-wall solidarity among higher education workers, regardless of profession.

Lunch and drinks will be provided.
