Research on EDI Challenges in Academic Career Development

The Fédération québécoise des professeures et professeurs d’université (FQPPU) is looking for participants in its current study on equity, diversity and inclusion in Quebec universities, and in particular how EDI-related challenges can hinder one’s academic career development.

The research is conducted in collaboration with Professor Mylène Paquin, from Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières. The aim of the study is to collect and analyze situations in which faculty face EDI challenges in their career. The objective is to detail the nature of these difficulties and their impact on both the work and personal life of professors.
Participation is voluntary, without financial compensation, and involves semi-directed in-person or over the phone interviews, in French or in English.

See the FQPPU President’s letter for more detail (the original December 13 deadline mentioned in the letter has been extended to December 20).
