Remembering the Polytechnique Victims

Thirty-two years ago, on 6 December 1989, fourteen young women were murdered because they were women and studying to become engineers. We must never forget.

For the past 31 years, commemorative events have taken place, but because of the pandemic, this year again, many of them are happening online. This shouldn’t stop us from participating and remembering as, sadly, gender discrimination, violence against women and gun violence remained acutely current in 2021.
